No one's going to read this, so I'm just going to complain and shit.
Ok, so I (
surprisingly) can't find this page again, but I stumbled upon it on facebook.
It was talking about this couple on Maury a few years back, where they had fallen in love and had a kid together, but somehow suspicions had arisen that they were siblings. Turns out yeah, they had been siblings, and had been seperated as children and stuff, and against all odds, had met in college or something, and had fallen in love.
Well Maury had apparently said something about how they could continue to raise the kid, but they couldn't be together, and had to divorce and terminate their relationship and shit.
Shocker shocker, a HUGE WAR broke out about this in the comments. People were supporting Maury and saying the couple was sick, while other's were saying that Maury needed to mind his own business, and to stay out of their relationship, that they were in love, and the kid was perfectly healthy with NO birth defects from the parenting what-so-ever.
Well, I actually got very upset over all of this. Maury had no right to tell them they couldn't be together. So what if they were sibs? In my opinion, Incest isn't a problem, and the kid was perfectly healthy, so you can't use the LITERALLY ONLY
CREDIBLE EXCUSE AGAINST INCEST that the gene pool will cause problems for the offspring.
I don't see a problem with incest. if the relationship is concentual for both members, i don't have a problem at all, and I support it wholeheartedly. i actually have NO problems whatsoever with ANY
type of physical or paternal love, may it be:
Parent/child (as long is the child isn't, you know, a toddler or a kid or anything like that. 15 or 16+ i can live with, but nothing really younger, cause the kid prob doesn't fully understand
Polyamory (people having more than one intimate relationship at a time with the knowledge and consent of everyone involved. (like Mormons [man with several wives] or Polyandries [woman with several husbands])),
group marriages (surprisingly, not many people know of this... it's usually consisting of three to six adults, all partners live together, share finances, children, and household responsibilities. Depending on the sexual orientation of the members, all adults in the family are sexual partners.)
etc. etc. none of this bothers me in any way. at all. I even support it. I don't know why, but i have absolutely no bias to any way people want to live. if someone has an unusual or widely disliked or unaccepted relationship, i don't judge, and I even open my mind to it. Hell, in
some cases I even look into it to see if any of it is even interesting to me.
I don't know, I just wanted to complain
